Mitra Energy (Indonesia Sibaru) Limited today spudded the exploration well Mojo-1in the Sibaru Block using Trident IX drilling rig. The well, the first well to be drilled by Mitra Energy Limited as Operator, is situated in a water depth of 62.7m (206ft) in the East Java Sea. The well is planned to be drilled to a total depth of 1815mSS (5950 ftSS), targeting Kujung Limestones (primary) and a Ngimbang sand (secondary).

Mitra Energy (Indonesia Sibaru) Limited operates and holds a 60% interest in the Block Sibaru PSC.
