In order to realise its goal of becoming a leading regional independent E&P company, Mitra has focused on building technical capability primarily in the area of subsurface exploration. The technical team comprises a group of highly experienced professionals who have spent a significant proportion of their careers exploring within the Asia-Pacific region.
Specific areas of geophysical expertise include seismic acquisition and processing, seismic interpretation, pre-stack elastic inversion of seismic data and quantitative interpretation of inverted attributes. Specific areas of geological expertise include petroleum systems analysis and basin modelling, sedimentology, operations and wellsite geology, and reserves quantification.
Mitra’s exploration philosophy is to combine this powerful spectrum of expertise with the most effective industry software tools to facilitate rapid and accurate evaluation of opportunities and assets. Alliances with key industry contractors allow for short term expansion of the technical skills base as and when required, for example in the areas of petrophysics, petroleum and reservoir engineering. As the asset base matures, the short term nature of this requirement will change and Mitra will look to broaden its skills spectrum on a more permanent basis.
